- The most surprising thing about this survey, to me, is that the difference between the number of hazers/hazing incidents between men and women is relatively small. I thought women, even young women, had more sense than that, frankly.
- The other interesting feature is that they discovered that you have to ask the questions very very carefully. If you ask athletes if they've participated in hazing or been hazed, most of them say that they haven't. If you ask about whether or not they've participated in specific activities, without mentioning hazing, the number shoots WAY up--from 25-35% participation to 85%.
