- 004's Bond Site: bondmovies.com
- A sort of fan-operated reference compendium. I'm thinking, giving the way it's set up, that this person believes that Sean Connery is the One True Bond. YES!

- Big List of Movie Mistakes
- Viewers contribute mistakes that they notice in film, and the person doing the site tries desperately to keep up. The mistakes are kind of intensely geeky, but it's still a periodically interesting read.

- Bright Lights Film Journal
- "Bright Lights Film Journal is a popular-academic hybrid of movie analysis, history, and commentary, looking at classic and commercial, independent, exploitation, and international film from a wide range of vantage points from the aesthetic to the political. A prime area of focus is on the connection between capitalist society and the images that reflect, support, or subvert itmovies as
propaganda. Published quarterly in San Francisco by Gary Morris and Gregory Battle. ISSN: 0147-4049."
- Bright Lights is always interesting; I find their analysis of movies with gay content intriguing.
- And you MUST see their list of banned words. (I'm not sure that one of them IS a word.)

- Drive-In Theater
- They actually include every drive-in still operating in the US. We apparently have two of them in Chicago--with the light spillover, I can't imagine how that could possibly work.
- They also include a "Gone but not Forgotten" section for each state. I did discover that one of the drive-ins of my childhood had been converted to a multiplex; in fact, once I saw that listing, I realized that I'd actually been inside the multiplex, many years later, without realizing where it had been built.

- Film Unlimited (UK)
- A film magazine from the UK, part of the online Guardian. Has some very unique views on things. I must admit, I would never have called "Boys Don't Cry" a "chick flick".

- Going all the ways: the slinkiest and kinkiest in movie lovemaking
- Well ... the only one I agree with in their "The Hottest" category is Bound, but they definitely have it right with Damage in "The Coldest". (aka, how to make driven sex look exceedingly unpleasant) And I have no idea what the 976-LUST category is even supposed to be. And "Now Voyager" should also be included in "Sexiest scene that doesn't involve sex". (And I don't even remember the autoerotic scene from "Law of Desire/Lei del Deseo", what with Antonio Banderas being heels over head and everything.

- Greatest Films/Filmsite.org
- They say: "The Greatest Films is a unique website containing interpretive, descriptive review commentary and historical background, and hundreds of colorful, vintage film posters for some of the best Hollywood and American classic films in the last century. The site has been selected twice by film critic and columnist Roger Ebert as one of the year's Best Movie Sites on the Web in two issues of Yahoo! Internet Life Magazine (June 1999 and January 1998 issues) - as the Greatest Greatest Site and as one of Ebert's five Most Dazzling Movie Sites."
- I say ... WHOA! Lotsa stuff. (Yes, I know. Not exactly coherent. But we're talkin' links a-go-go here. I haven't even begun to get through it all.

- Images
- A really impressive (if periodically overdone) journal about film and its history.
- However, I can't believe anyone would have done a Russ Meyer review/retrospective without mentioning "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" or the Vixen movies. That's just bizarre. (That said, I never knew about "Mondo Topless" .... Oh. My. God.)

- Motion pictures featuring monkeys or apes
- You don't want to know what I did to find this. I'm not sure why that search got THIS, of all things, but that's the way the web works. And I don't know why I'm linking to it, except that somehow, it just amuses me.

- Movie and television trivia FAQ
- It's a very LONG file. It says it's just a Movie Trivia page, but it clearly covers television as well.

- One guy's review site. No, he's nobody in particular, but I like his reviews.

- The state of American independent film today
- An interesting article, although I will say that the question Lechner asked himself about whether or not to fund a film is, if not the stupidest, then really brain damaged.
