OK. I admit, I don't quite get this development at all. Allowing that Microsoft quite deliberately shut rival browsers out of MSN for a while -- saying that it was inadvertent because you were using W3C standards when Opera and Mozilla and especially Amaya are written to W3C standards (Amaya is written by W3C, for heaven's sake) just doesn't quite wash -- I'm not quite sure I understand why that would make people download other browsers. I mean, if you need MSN, why wouldn't you download IE6? Granted, Microsoft eventually fixed the problem (sort of), but it does seem to have done a fair amount of damage. (Though probably only amongst the geeks. And, really, how good is Microsoft's reputation among the haut geekoisie?)
OK, to be sure, I downloaded Amaya myself, but that was mostly because I didn't know the thing even existed before. Counting that, I think I've got ... um ... well, there's a lot of browsers on this computer, OK?
