washington state

Well, well, well.

Gays may get right to partners' property.

And the decision of the Washington State Supreme Court was unanimous in stating that whether or not one inherits has nothing to do with the legal sanction on their relationship.

Unfortunately, the person who produced that decision may not actually benefit from it; given that the facts of the case are in dispute -- the dead man's siblings are stating that he wasn't even gay -- it may end up that Vasquez still loses everything, even though others may benefit in the long run.
