paintbrushes?

You have GOT to be kidding.

I can understand -- just barely -- not wanting to have paints on a plane. But since when have we been afraid of The Deadly Paintbrush? What's he going to do, tickle someone to death? Threaten to paint the pilot into the cockpit? What? I mean, they wouldn't even allow him to check them? And now, of course, they've disappeared into the security ether.

We have got to get a grip!

What immediately springs to my mind is the scene in Beetlejuice with Catherine O'Hara yelling at the movers "be careful with my art ... it can be dangerous!"

And, for the record, I've already resigned myself to the fact that we, as a society, have already become completely unhinged through all this.
