So for the coming November sweeps, we apparently won't get yet another expose of the seamy side of roller wrestling mamas or "My wife is my pimp!" this month. (OK, that last one is today's Jerry Springer show topic -- no, really, I saw it on the TV in the store when I bought my morning juice, thanks, and terribly offended the clerk by laughing hysterically. [The actual title of the 10/30 airdate show was ... "Transsexual Tales". Be afraid. Be very afraid.] In any event, that's kind of the level of local sweeps news stories, OK? OK.)
Instead of that type of story, we'll be getting more stories covering the local angle on the various attacks. MORE stories. Another solid month of these stories.
... I think I'd rather have the roller wrestling mamas, actually.
(And purely as a side note ... on reading the list of topics upcoming on the Jerry Springer Show, all I can think is .... ick. ICK. [And something desperately unprintable.]
