I can't understand how it's a promising sign that more students are aware of their school's sexual harassment policy if it hasn't made any difference in behavior over the past seven years.

What action should I take upon a private school insisting that a downplay the fact that a male classmate of my daughters sexual molested her in the vaginal area with his fingers. This occurred last Thursday and the boy was back in school on Friday. My daugher was the victim in this mess and she's been out of school since this happened. The school also failed to contact the appropriate authorities. Turns out, through my investigation, this isn't the first time this boy has had a problem with his hands.
Any ideas how I should pursue this matter? I have a good mind to possible file a suit against the school or this kid's parent.
What are your thoughts?

Hey.I'm 15 years old and I was sexual harrassed when I was 14. If don't mind I would like to share my story with you and maybe it will help you out.One of my school's biggest athelets had been harrassing a few girls at my school for a while and no one wanted to stand up for themselves. No-one ever believed he would do a thing like that, me being one of those people.One day He pulled me aside as I was changing classes.He held me against a wall and told me " Stacey, I want you and if i ever catch you off school grounds im gonna stick my d.... so far down your throat you will choak." Well, my best friend Adam found out about it and made me go to the office.My friend "heather" admitted to him harrassing her. We both decided to notify the office.We sat down with our vice principal and told her the story. She made us fill out a form saying everything he told us and everything he did.Later that day, we found out they had let him read the form we wrote. Some of our "friends" who played sports with us were threatning us if we didn't shut up.About a week passed and nothing had happened. We had bothed told our parents about what happened and that we told the office.Then one day I was sitting in class and my Principal walked in a called me out of class. I asked my teacher to go with me bc I know he didn't call my parents to ask permisson for a private conference with me. he sat me down in a room and told me to my face that I was lying and I better shut my mouth or I would be expelled from school.he told me he didn't loose his star athelete just because some popular girl was trying to start stuff.How was I suppose to react?I was getting punished bc I was sexual harrassed. I told my dad that afternoon and we went straight to the police.My principal had never called them to let them know of this.We filed a report against the guy and the school.He was finally suspended from school but that didn't stop him from practicing with the team.Since, when we can a student suspended to the board just walk unto school grounds? I later found out it had happened to 5 other girls and they were ready to stand up for themselves.He and my principal went to Family court, just them. Me and the other girls were not allowed to ever know what went on or what was said in that court room.He only got two weeks of alternative school.( if you get caught with drugs your sent away for 6 months) isn't this worse? well he wasn't allowed to come back to my school so he went to our rival school. he continued to practice with them during the summer which he wasn't suppose too and never served his 2 weeks. All this taught him, was that as long as he has sports he can get away with anything, even rape.

If it would've been any other student in that school they would've been expelled on the spot. Later that year all the guys who tried to stick up for him apologized to me and the other girls. They understood now that he had actually done this and it really hurt us.It's sad to think that girls and boys can't feel safe at school.I myself am at another school this year, my parents just wanted me to get away for a while. And it helped. I went through depression for a while bc I though everyone thought I was a liar, Because my own principal the person who is responsible for us, called me a liar to my face. It has been a year now and I am stronger than I will ever be for a 15 year old. I am very sorry to all of those who have been harrassed.Just keep speaking someone will listen.
